What You’ll Do

As a Camp Site Director, you’ll lead an engaging, inclusive, and high-energy summer program that fosters fun, creativity, and skill-building. Your responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing daily camp operations to ensure a safe, structured, and exciting environment.
  • Leading and mentoring counselors and Counselors-in-Training (CITs).
  • Communicating with families, providing updates, and addressing concerns professionally.
  • Problem-solving on the go, adjusting schedules, resolving conflicts, and leading activities.
  • Creating a positive camp culture that promotes kindness, inclusion, and personal growth.
  • Manage supplies and inventory, troubleshooting material needs and ensuring all resources are available.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Leadership Experience – At least 3 years of cumulative experience working in summer camps, education, after-school programs, or youth development.
  • Strong Communication Skills – You lead with clarity, empathy, and collaboration.
  • Adaptability & Quick Thinking – You thrive in fast-paced environments and solve challenges with ease.
  • High Energy & Enthusiasm – You bring a positive attitude and passion for working with kids.
  • Organized & Reliable – You balance structured programming with creative fun.

Schedule and Requirements

  • June–August (exact dates vary by location)
  • Monday–Friday, approx. 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must be fully vaccinated and up to date on all immunizations.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, respond quickly to emergencies, and work in an active, outdoor environment.
  • First Aid & CPR certification required (training reimbursement provided).
