Pay Range: $18-$20/hour based on experience.
Hours: 8:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday
Location: Warehouse - Manayunk, PA

Reports to: Assistant Director of Operations

As a warehouse coordinator, you’ll play a key role in delivering this mission by ensuring the proper operations of a large-scale summer camp.

Position Overview:
The summer camp warehouse coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our summer camp programs by managing inventory, organizing supplies, and supporting logistical needs. This position is responsible for packing and distributing supplies to various camp locations, receiving and processing orders, performing repairs on camp equipment, and maintaining an organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supply Management:
    • Organize and maintain the warehouse inventory, ensuring all items are properly stored and easily accessible.
    • Monitor stock levels, track usage, and reorder supplies as needed to avoid shortages.
  2. Order Fulfillment:
    • Pack and prepare camp supplies according to packing lists for distribution to camp locations.
    • Label and organize shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  3. Receiving and Inventory Tracking:
    • Receive incoming shipments of supplies and equipment, verifying contents against purchase orders.
    • Update inventory records in a timely and accurate manner.
  4. Equipment Repairs and Maintenance:
    • Perform basic repairs and maintenance on camp equipment, such as rideable vehicles, sports equipment, and other camp supplies.
    • Coordinate with vendors or specialists for larger repairs if needed.
  5. Distribution:
    • Coordinate delivery schedules to ensure all supplies reach camp locations on time.
    • Assist with loading and unloading supplies at distribution points as needed.
  6. Safety and Organization:
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
    • Follow all safety protocols and procedures when handling equipment and supplies.
  7. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with camp staff to understand supply needs and resolve any logistical challenges.
    • Provide clear communication regarding the status of shipments, repairs, and inventory levels.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or logistics is preferred.
  • College student studying logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field.
  • Candidates interested in outdoor recreation or camp management who want to gain hands-on experience in the operations of a large-scale camp.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic repair and maintenance skills (training can be provided).
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks in a warehouse setting.
  • Proficient in inventory tracking systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate delivery vehicles (if required).

Work Environment:
This role is primarily based in the camp warehouse in Manayunk, PA but may involve travel to camp locations for supply distribution and on-site repairs. The position requires physical activity, including lifting, carrying, and moving supplies.

Schedule and Compensation:

  • This is a full-time seasonal position, typically running from late spring to mid-fall.
  • Competitive pay based on experience.
